A Letter from the TEAM

Welcome to Project Said: A Global Platform for Diversity and Equity in the Arts. I'm so glad that you're on this page, helping to promote change for greater progress in the arts.  We are all so excited to welcome you.

Project Said was created to uplift artists and creators facing gender discrimination in their respective fields.  While it may seem that gender discrimination has faded into history, it is still very much present and dominant in the world.  According to the Smithsonian Magazine, out of 18 major U.S. museums' online catalogs and over 40,000 works of art, 87% of artists were men.  These kind of statistics are not out of place in the vast majority of industries, from publishing companies and music to photography and film.  Gender discrimination is still prevalent in the arts today.

In an effort to usher in the future, Project Said has since shifted our focus to include all forms of diversity and equity, including but not limited to BIPOC, disabled, and LGBTQ+ creators.  We are focused on uplifting young artists who enter a world with the odds stacked against them.  From increased gender and racial inequality, we are dedicated to supporting individuals around the world regardless of language, ethnicity, race, religious background, etc.  No matter where you identify on the gender spectrum, we have a place for you.  If you're interested in submitting content or joining our team, please visit our Contact page for more information.
